Abstract

The importance of research and development expenditures, which play a key role in ensuring economic growth, emerged with the endogenous growth models that became popular after the 1980s. In this context, in this study, the long-term relationship between research and development expenditures and economic growth was examined with the border (ARDL) test for Turkey's 1990- 2019 period. As a result of the test, it was found that there is a long-term cointegration relationship between the variables in question and that research and development expenditures make a positive contribution to economic growth.
